The Rubster

Yeah so we are totally those people that turned into those parents that can only talk about there child. Its true what people say, after you have a kid thats basically your life.  I was talking to my sister-in-law about how nobody tells you about a lot of things relating to pregnancy and delivery that you wish you had been a little bit prepared for but i guess thats a girls initiation into motherhood. so sticking with tradition i won't spill the secrets of pregnancy and delivery you all who haven't had children will just have to wait and see.  But i will tell you it is 100 % worth it.

So i thought i would give an update of how life with Ruby is going for us. 

First off Rubicon is two weeks and a day old and growing and changing everyday. She is an incredible sleeper, she sleeps up to 5 hours straight during the night which is awesome and makes for one happy mommy since i love to sleep.  During the day she is really alert and awake. she's not like all those boring babies that just sleep their life away. She is all about discovering the world around her.  She eats like a champ and because of it she has some pretty adult like toots that won't quit. On sunday we took her to church for the first time and it was so fun getting to dress her in a cute little dress that my good friend Mandi got for her. Unfortunately she is already getting so big that i think that will be the first and last time for her to wear the dress.

I can't be sure how she took to church since she was asleep during all of sacrament, but i think it will eventually grow on her so that she will feel like she can stay awake.
